How Much Does a Freelance Writer Usually earn?

I’m not going to tell you that freelance writers commonly make $10,000 a month, because many do not. In fact, I’m not going to guarantee you anything as far as money is concerned. The only thing I can guarantee is that this site will teach you how become a freelance writer. As long as you have a basic grasp of your native language, and a little self motivation, you can start earning something right away. How much you earn in the long run depends entirely on what you decide to do.

Not Sure if You Have the Skills to be a Freelance Writer?

Let’s discuss the point of having a basic grasp of your native language.

Obviously, there are thousands of languages throughout the world and websites are written in them. If you are a freelance writer for a French website, for example, you would need to speak French pretty fluently. This site is in English, and it’s the only language I speak fluently, so I will stick to writing in English.

A “basic grasp” by my definition means you speak English every day, and understand where to put verbs and adjectives as well as the basics of punctuation. You do not need professional training or higher education – just make sure you remember the basics of your junior high English classes before trying to learn how to write for the web.

That said, the amount you earn does depend on your level of skill, but everyone must start somewhere! For now just make sure you can put together two sentences to form a cohesive thought. If you are reading this, you have already displayed a bit of self motivation. Good job! Now just keep on this track and you can be making money very quickly.  This site will try to offer you help at every step of the way.
